Very pretty, Joy. Love the colours!
Well done Joy, this is a beautiful block. I particularly like the silk ribbon embroidery cluster, and the whipped spider wheel.
Thanks Monica and Cy. Joy....NZ
A lovely delicate block Joy. I feel it's like a walk in the park.
What process do you use for making the block? If there’s a name for it, maybe I can look it up and not take up your time. Otherwise, do you lay the pieces on a foundation and then use only the embroidery to connect them? Or do you appliqué them to a base? Or do you cut out and make the curves as you’d make other curves (such as inserting a sleeve)? I generally use the regular sew and flip method on a base, although I only sew by hand, not machine. The results haven’t been good when I’ve tried a couple ways to make curves. I love the softness of your curved pieces.
Joy, you have made some truly lovely blocks. This one might just be my favorite!Thank you so much for your kind words on my blocks. I do appreciate it.I look forward to seeing more of your work - maybe in the CQJP 2013????Take care and Happy Needling,Gerry H
Thank you for your comment. It is being reviewed and will be published as soon as the Committee has approved it. Unfortunately, this is the only way we have found to stop SPAM for certain.Chairperson, CQJP 2012
