Photograph Submission

Submission of Photographs to CQJP2012 is the Participant’s (owner’s) acknowledgement that the photograph can be used for publication as part of the Crazy Quilt Journal Project. 

The Project will occur annually and photographs submitted may be used for historical archives as well as the year of the actual submission. 

Submission of images is approval to post the image on the CQJP sponsored blog, the CQJP website, and possible use in promotional advertisements. While all images might not be used in promotional material, a select few could be selected for inclusion in a collage of photographs representing the Participants photos for a specific annual period. Images that are combined in an advertising collage will not have individual Participant information included but will include the CQJP website address and the year of the Participant’s entry reflected.

Participants that submit their image releases CQJP from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form that may occur or be produced in the use of said image.

When a Participant submits a photograph for use by CQJP they must do so by emailing that photograph to chairperson@cqjp.org. Submission of images by email in this manner constitutes the Participant’s permission for use of the image (photography of property) for sharing. All Participants remain the owner of their own original images. 

Participants are also responsible to submit images of only their own individual Crazy Quilt Journal Project works and that do not infringe upon the copyright of other artist’s images. The CQJP will not assume liability for use of images that might be proven to have been submitted by a participant as their own work, but is not. The CQJP accepts images on good faith that the Participants are submitting images of their own work.
